Membership Application

Wolkara Elders is a community-led, not-for-profit organisation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 years and over.

Established in 2011, the group was formed to provide a culturally safe and empowering space where Elders can strengthen their connections to culture, land and one another. Grounded in respect, self-determination and cultural continuity, Wolkara Elders supports the social, emotional and cultural wellbeing of its members while working to reduce social isolation and support intergenerational knowledge-sharing.

We are proud of our vision for a strong and culturally connected community that respects and empowers every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elder to grow and thrive.
