Wolkara Elders Cultural Education

Wolkara Elders Group is a social support group aimed at improving the social well-being of First Nation Elders in Western Sydney communities.

We are offering educational sessions to schools across Western Sydney. These sessions can include a variety of fun and engaging activities, depending on the number of students and the age groups participating. These activities are hosted by members of the Wolkara Elders Group, showcasing cultural awareness, safety and inclusivity through storytelling, yarning and interactive activities.

Through the educational session, the Wolkara Elders create an environment to improve students' understanding and connections to Indigenous culture and traditions, as well as providing an opportunity for truth-telling, highlighting different historical events relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
